The space✨ Why You’ll Love It
“Your Group’s Mountain HQ”: Two yurts = space for togetherness AND privacy. Wake to the hum of a distant creek, spend days hiking to waterfalls (3 within 15 mins!), and nights grilling under string lights.
Adventure Made Easy: Borrow our Group-Friendly Trail Guide to Linville Gorge, Crabtree Falls, and hidden swimming holes.
Your Ideal Day:
☕ Morning: Pancake breakfast in the open-air kitchen → 🥾 Midday: Hike to Tom’s Creek Falls → 🌿 Afternoon: Hammock siestas + outdoor showers → 🔥 Evening: Grilled meats + stargazing with good company.
🏡 The Space
Sleep: 1 king bed (Fairy 2), 2 queens (Fairy 1), + daybed (perfect for kids or that one friend who crashes early).
Kitchen: Stainless steel kitchen setup and 6-burner grill + plenty of spring water and backup rainwater for cooking.
Food: Cooler pre-filled with a big bag of ice for your preferred foods (one at each site).
Water: Supply is limited, but you'll have plenty for cooking and bathing. Each yurt has two 7-gallon jugs of spring water+ a rainwater collection barrel (5-50 gallons).
Power: Solar-powered battery for lighting, charging devices, and operating a fan. Both yurts have their own solar setups + portable lanterns.
Heat: Propane space heater (toasty even in October).
Bathroom: One private outhouse for your group (100ft away); gravity-fed outdoor showers (seasonal, March–Oct).
Amenities: We provide the essentials you'd find in any rental house. Most people overpack. You'll find kitchen utensils, pots, pans, kettle, sheets, extra blankets, towels, dish soap, body soap, and more!
❓ Know Before You Go
“How off-grid is it?” No Wi-Fi, but solar keeps phones charged and lights on. Water is limited, but plenty for cooking and bathing. Secluded, but town is 10 mins away for ice or forgotten ketchup.
“Bugs? Bears?” Spiders handle pest control (nature’s roommates); bears avoid the area (but we provide bear spray and bear-proof coolers).
Access: 200-ft walk from parking; 1-mile gravel drive (“My 2WD minivan handles it daily—just go slow!”).

💬 Guest Love
“I CANNOT say enough good things! ...the land was beautiful, and the positive energy that radiated around the area was overwhelming. I’d rate Outercamp 1,000,000/5 stars if the app would let me, but alas, 5/5 will just have to do :-)” —Cecelia, 2024
"AMAZING. I wish we could rate it more than 5 stars! It was the perfect place to truly disconnect and experience the simplicity of living. Bring your food/drinks and a good book, and Evan supplies the rest. —Jessica, 2024
