Your Perfect Day:
Morning: Pancakes in the outdoor kitchen → Afternoon: Splash in Tom’s Creek Falls → Evening: Shadow puppets by the fire.
🏡 The Space
Sleep: Memory-foam king bed + twin daybed (ideal for kids, friends, or a girl’s trip!).
Kitchen: Stainless steel setup with propane stove + fresh unfiltered spring water for coffee.
Food: Cooler pre-filled with a big bag of ice for your preferred foods.
Water: Supply is limited, but you'll have plenty for cooking and bathing. Two 7-gallon jugs of spring water+ a rainwater collection barrel (5-50 gallons).
Power: Solar-powered battery for lighting, charging devices, and operating a fan.
Heat: Propane space heater (toasty even in October).
Bathroom: Shared outhouse with 1 other yurt site (100ft away); your own private gravity shower (seasonal, March–Oct).
Amenities: We provide the essentials you'd find in any rental house. Most people overpack. You'll find kitchen utensils, pots, pans, kettle, sheets, extra blankets, towels, dish soap, body soap, and more!
❓ Know Before You Go:
“How off-grid is it?” Secluded, but only 10 mins from town and nearest Walmart. No Wi-Fi, but the solar battery keeps devices charged for movie nights and plenty of lighting. Water is limited, but you'll have more than enough for cooking and showering. Lanterns add magic—bring glow sticks for the kids!
“Bugs? Bears?” You will encounter spiders- they handle our pest control (nature’s cleanup crew), and the bears are scaredy cats in our area (but we provide a bear-proof cooler and bear spray just in case!).
Access: Yurt is accessible via 150 ft walking trail, and 1-mile gravel road from the highway (“Take it slow and pretend it’s a safari ride—kids love it!”).
