The spacePlease NOTE, you will encounter our bug and spider friends- they help keep things in balance. This is an upscale camping experience, not a hotel room in the woods (read all details below!).
LOCATION -- Our land is situated at a center point of some of the best hiking in North Carolina. Less than 45 mins from Linville Gorge, Mt. Mitchell, Grandfather Mountain, and Roan Mountain, and within 20 mins of 3 waterfall hikes at Crabtree Falls, Tom's Creek Falls, and Linville Falls. We are located over a mile from any residences on our own forested ridge, but only a 5 min drive from Walmart for quick supply runs.
BEDS -- There are 2 memory-foam queen beds & 3 yoga mats. If someone would like to pitch their own tent by the fire pit, they are welcome to.
KITCHEN -- A covered outdoor kitchen equipped with a BBQ grill & single-stove burner cooktop, two 5-gallon water jugs, a sink basin, and a big cooler pre-filled with ice. The yurt is stocked with basics pots, pans, dishware, utensils, reusable towels, etc.
POWER -- A solar battery and 400W of solar panels provide plentiful power for device charging, lights, and a standing fan.
HEAT — A propane heater is provided with 20lb propane tank for heating. Floor and ceiling are insulated, but the yurt is not a temperature controlled environment.
BATH + SHOWER -- You will have a clean & private outhouse about 100ft from the yurt stocked with toilet paper, hand sanitizer, and sawdust. From April- October, you'll have a private outdoor shower right beside the yurt that is gravity-fed with collected rain water (not heated).
WIFI -- There is no wifi on-site, but there is LTE cell service for T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon (provider signal strengthens in that order).
ACCESS -- You will park about 150 ft away from the yurt and hike to it via a fairy-lit trail through the forest. NOTE you will drive on a mile of gravel road to get to the property that can be rough in a few areas. There is nothing steep, just chewed up and bumpy. (take it slow and steady and you will be fine).
FIRE -- Fires are allowed in the fire ring only. We sell firewood on-site for $8/bundle via Ven'mo! Gather your own fire material from the campsite or purchase a fire starter from Walmart to make things easy.

Guest accessThere is a mile long gravel road to the property that can be a bit challenging in the pouring rain. Guests are able to access the area immediately surrounding the Wild Fairy Inn, outhouse, trail, & parking area. Guests are also able to access the lower trail to Hoot Owl Falls, our very own waterfall.

Neighborhood overviewOur neighborhood is rural and mountainous with Linville Wilderness to our East and Pisgah National Forest to our West. We have just 2 neighbors within a half-mile of our property. Our 60 acres of secluded mountainside is located just below the Blue Ridge Parkway and the little mountaintop village of Little Switzerland, NC.
Getting aroundSupply runs and access to our land requires a personal vehicle. Once parked on the property, the best way to get around is by foot! To the waterfall trailhead, outhouse, and even using the gravel road to explore the area.
